Silver Link Bracelet Making Workshop

Learn traditional silversmithing skills and create a custom chunky sterling silver link bracelet in this hands-on workshop. Guided by expert step-by-step demonstrations, you will form, silver solder, and assemble handmade chain links customised to your personal style, finishing your piece with a handmade clasp for a perfectly fitted bracelet to wear home on the day.

All materials included: Includes all sterling silver wire, tools, materials, and tuition. Refreshments are available throughout the day; please provide your own lunch (and bring your own snacks/refreshments if you have special dietary requirements).

A custom, hand-soldered sterling silver link bracelet fitted with a handmade clasp, fully polished and finished to wear home at the end of the session.

Skills & Techniques

Gas Torch Soldering: Mastering precision silver soldering techniques using gas torches for each individual chain link.
Handmade Chain Fabrication: Measuring, shaping, and forming handmade chain links from sterling silver wire.
Link Customisation: Learning design variations to texture and adapt silver links to suit different bracelet styles.
Clasp Making: Fabricating a functional, custom silver clasp tailored to your bracelet design.
Finishing & Polishing: Professional surface finishing and polishing methods to bring silver to a high shine.

Good to know

Prerequisites: Open to participants aged 16+ of all abilities, from absolute beginners to those with prior making experience.
Class Size & Attendance: Strictly limited to 8 attendees per session. Due to space constraints, non-booking friends and family cannot observe – every attendee must book a space.
Catering: Refreshments provided; please bring your own lunch (and specific snacks if you have special dietary needs).

Access: 1st floor (stair access only – sorry, no wheelchair access)
Free Visitor Parking: Available directly opposite the workshop, right next to the snack bar (halfway down the main road on the right side).
GPS Note: We are located before Morgan Marine. Look for the parking area in front of the snack bar.

Just got back from a hammered & stamped ring making workshop with Karen & I had so much fun! I dragged my fiance to who is a stay at home type of person & he absolutely loved it too & I’ve got two brand new rings! Karen is a great teacher, funny, laid back & really puts you at ease. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a day out on their own or with friends, or looking to get into jewellery making / silver / goldsmithing! I can’t wait to do another 😍
